To be a compliant club, each club must nominate  a Club Safeguarding Officer. They must have a valid ECB DBS certificate and to have completed the following training courses: 

• Safeguarding Level 1 – ECB 30 minute online course

• Safeguarding Level 2 – 1 hour interactive online course valid for 3 years

• Safe Hands Workshop – 3 hrs face to face course delivered by an ECB trained tutor (Vicki Selby, County Safeguarding Manager) and valid for 3 years

We encourage Chairs to undertake all three levels of safeguarding training to support best practice in cricket.

To support clubs in creating a safe and welcoming environment, please find below a series of useful resources to use within your club. 

It is necessary for all clubs to:

• Display the posters that publicise the club safeguarding officer and the County Safeguarding Officer; 
• Publicise a QR code to collect feedback and share concerns;
• Promote the culture of speaking out poster
