OUR SYSTEM
OUR VISION
“A sustainable and high-performing talent development system”
Performance Cricket is integral to Oxfordshire Cricket and we are proud of our track record in developing talent, of our rich history of performance achievements and that our programmes are pivotal in providing opportunities for aspiring players, for creating belonging and for fostering life-long participation within the game.
Our vision is to deliver a sustainable and high-performing talent development system so that we continue to provide opportunities for players to fulfil their aspirations through our programmes and to remain recognisable for developing talent and producing performance achievements.
The thriving performance cricket strategy sets out what it takes for performance cricket to thrive within Oxfordshire and provides a whole system view of how we will go about delivering a sustainable and high-performing talent development system.

STRATEGIC OUTCOMES
Through an aligned and coherent approach across the talent development system, our vision is to.
- Support and inspire individuals to thrive and stay in the game
- Sustain a talent pipeline that populates recreational and professional cricket
- Produce repeated and long-term performance achievements
PRIORITY AREAS
Key to the fulfilment of our strategy is building and delivering a talent development system that supports the identification, recruitment, development and confirmation of players across all ages and stages within the county.
Three talent development programmes form the core priority areas of our sustainable and high-performing talent development system.
- Develop a constant stream of players through an effective and evolving Pathway
- Produce Academy and Professional players through individualised programmes
- Deliver competitive adult performances through developing identifiable teams
These talent development programmes aim to support individuals and teams in training and competition by providing environments that facilitate performance progress and increase the likelihood of current and future success.
