OUR PATHWAY
Outcome: To develop a constant stream of local, representative and professional players through an effective and evolving pathway.
The Pathway is a talent development programme that provides a developmental journey for girls and boys between the ages of 8 and 18. We deliver an accessible and structured programme for the Girls at the Under 11, 13, 15 and 18 age groups and for the Boys at the Under 10, 11, 12, 13,14, 15 and 18 age groups.
We adopt principles to establish a long-term approach to talent development, nurturing our talent pool to help players to fulfil their ambitions and thrive within the game, whilst safeguarding the future of the pathway for generations to follow.
- Ensure opportunities for talent to be identified, developed, confirmed and selected.
- Deliver environments, coaching and support that maximise potential and performance over time.
- Provide experiences that foster a lifelong enjoyment and connection with the game.
The health of our pathway is largely measured through the retention and progression of players from their entry to exit points and our ability to transition players from our pathway and into the recreational and professional game.
