Oxfordshire Cricket Names Squad for NCCA Cluberly Championship Clash Against Herefordshire

Oxfordshire Cricket is pleased to announce its twelve player squad for the second match of the National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA) Cluberly Championship, set to take place at Eastnor Cricket Club against Herefordshire.

The squad remains largely unchanged from the side that drew with Cornwall at Banbury CC last weekend. Oxfordshire had established a commanding 127-run first-innings lead, but periods of rain on each day led to a draw being agreed after tea on the final day, leaving the team feeling somewhat frustrated by the weather’s impact.

Tom Davis is unavailable for selection this week as he represents his club in the ECB National Stages of the ECB National Club Championship. Pace bowler Eesa Nadeem, a product of the Warwickshire Pathway and currently part of the South Asian Cricket Academy (SACA) receives his first Oxfordshire call-up. George Tait also returns to the squad after missing the opening fixture.

Oxfordshire, Cornwall, Berkshire, and Devon all opened their Group 4 campaigns with drawn matches, making this weekend’s encounter a key opportunity for Oxfordshire to secure a first win in the competition. Play is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM on the opening day at Eastnor Cricket Club.
