We are excited to announce that Shaz Khan has been appointed as our new Participation Manager, effective 1st May. Shaz brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to community engagement and participation in sport.
Shaz previously worked with us and has since gained valuable experience at Cricket East, Bucks Cricket, and Norway Cricket. His expertise and passion for cricket make him the ideal person to lead our efforts to grow participation across Oxfordshire.
In his new role, Shaz will focus on increasing participation levels, reaching new audiences, and developing inclusive initiatives that meet the diverse needs of our local communities. He will work closely with the Recreational and Performance Cricket departments to ensure that our programmes align and to create a seamless pathway for players from entry-level participation through to recreational and performance.
Managing Director, Nick Pinhol, commented:
“We are thrilled to welcome Shaz back to Oxfordshire Cricket. After a competitive recruitment process, Shaz stood out for his strategic thinking and deep knowledge of the landscape. His experience and passion for community development make him the perfect fit for this role. We are excited to see the impact he will have in growing participation across the county.”
Shaz Khan added:
I am extremely excited to be rejoining Oxfordshire Cricket as we approach an exciting time in Cricket! I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with the communities of Oxfordshire and I hope to make a huge and lasting impact in my role as Participation Manager.
Please join us in welcoming Shaz to the team. We look forward to the positive changes he will bring to the organisation and to cricket in Oxfordshire.
