Player Development Workshops – February 2022
We are delighted to let you know about the upcoming Player Development Workshops that we are running from the 17th February to 25th February 2022 at both St Edward’s School and Abingdon School.
We listened to your feedback following the Player Development Workshops that we ran during October and December last year and are pleased to be able to extend our offering this February across the two different half term holiday dates. The move to deliver across multiple academic half term weeks will provide greater opportunity for players to access the coaching and additional support the player development workshops offer. A varied programme of workshops that target specific disciplines or themes within the game has been scheduled for both girls and boys.
A select number of the workshops will be repeated in both weeks with the intention that those in the independent sector will attend during the first week on the 17th and 18th February, to then provide greater opportunity for those in the state sector to attend on the 24th and 25th February during the second week. A range of other workshops will be taking place on the days inbetween (21st, 22nd & 23rd February) which are open to Girls and Boys from all sectors.
Workshop Programme
The workshops are specifically designed for Representative, Club or School players who have or currently play hard ball cricket and will be led by the Performance team, alongside other coaches who work across our Pathway or Emerging player programmes. These Workshops will use a hard ball and all players will need the appropriate playing equipment. Each session will be delivered using a 1:4 or 1:5 Coach to Player ratio to provide greater player development opportunities.
Please see below a timetable of programme workshops available this February, along with a booking link for each workshop. We ask that you please book carefully, making sure you choose the correct session for your child’s age. The Age Group eligibility table will help you to select the correct session for your child.
