Help uphold the spirit, fairness, and integrity of recreational cricket across the county
Oxfordshire Cricket is seeking individuals to join its Recreational Disciplinary Panel, a key part of ensuring that cricket across the county remains respectful, inclusive, and aligned with the values of the game.
This panel will hear serious or complex cases involving breaches of conduct, anti-discrimination, and other disciplinary matters within the recreational game in Oxfordshire.
We’re looking for people with strong integrity, good judgment, and a passion for cricket to help make fair and independent decisions that support a positive playing environment for all.
Location: Flexible (hearings may take place in person within Oxfordshire or online)
Term: Two-year voluntary role (with the option to extend)
Closing date: 5pm Monday 1st of September 2025
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking to appoint:
Panel Members
Panel Chair(s)
You could be:
- A barrister, solicitor, or legal professional (especially with disciplinary or regulatory experience)
- A former or current cricket player, coach, umpire, or club official
- An individual with experience in equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), safeguarding, or misconduct

What You’ll Be Doing
- Hear disciplinary cases and appeals at county level
- Review evidence, participate in panel discussions, and help deliver clear, fair decisions
- Attend hearings (online or in person as required)
- Work in accordance with ECB and Oxfordshire Cricket disciplinary regulations
- Contribute to written outcomes and uphold standards of good governance
What You’ll Need
- An understanding of cricket (or willingness to learn) and/or disciplinary processes
- Experience in decision-making, governance, or regulatory matters (preferred)
- Availability for occasional hearings and panel meetings
- A strong sense of fairness, confidentiality, and impartiality
