Oxfordshire Cricket is delighted to announce the appointment of Alex Mitchell as its new Director of Development and Commercial Partnerships. Alex joins the team from Northamptonshire Sport, the active partnership in the county, where he served as Strategic Lead – Fundraising and Enterprise.
The Director of Development and Commercial Partnerships is a crucial leadership position, central to the organisation’s ambition to grow the game and deepen its community impact by building sustainable and diverse income streams. This role will drive sustainable revenue growth and expand Oxfordshire Cricket’s network of supporters. Key responsibilities will include leading efforts to secure philanthropic donations, grant funding, and commercial partnerships, while cultivating relationships with individuals, businesses, and foundations.
This appointment comes at a vital time as Oxfordshire Cricket continues its work to transition to charitable status, a move recently supported by its members. Alex’s proven track record in fundraising and income generation, particularly within the community development sector, is essential to building the financial sustainability needed to achieve the organisation’s mission: “To make cricket open for All”.
