Oxfordshire Cricket are delighted to announce that Emilia Bartram has been reappointed as the Women’s Captain having led the Women’s team to a third place finish within the T20 group and a mid-place finish within the 50 over format that saw only three games in the competition completed last season.
Emilia continues to be a key member of the team and will lead the Women’s team for a consecutive year within the Tier 3 competitions of the newly formed England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Women’s Domestic Structure for in 2025.
Oxfordshire Cricket would like to congratulate Emilia on her reappointment and wish her every success for the season ahead.
Reacting to her appointment Emilia said:
“I’m really grateful for the opportunity to continue to build on our success from last season, and we have a busy and exciting season ahead. It’s also been really good to see the talent coming through from the younger pathway players and it’s been amazing to see the standard of cricket demonstrated by the squad over the winter, so I’m excited to see everyone apply their skill and talent to the matches this season. ”

“I’m really pleased that we can give Emilia this opportunity to lead the group again this season. After the success of last year, I’m hoping that she can lead the group to another strong set of performances in the new competition structure. I’m sure the team will benefit from her experiences of playing for Italy.”
Performance Director, Matthew Barnes said:
“We are very pleased that Emilia has agreed to lead our Women’s team for a second year having played a crucial role in the overall success of the Women’s programme in 2024 following a difficult set of results the year before.
The newly formed ECB Women’s Domestic structure presents an exciting opportunity for female players in the years ahead and we look forward to supporting Emilia in the initial year within the Tier 3 competitions.”
